STONE161 emerges as a Complutense University of Madrid spin-off based on 15-year transfer experience. This unique collaboration with one of Spain’s most prestigious academic institutions allows us to continuously develop innovation and offer high-value services to our clients.

Ignacio Zapico Alonso

Ignacio Zapico, CTO of STONE161 and an Assistant professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, he is a leading professional in research and knowledge transfer in applied geology. He is inventor of a patent for detecting river pollution, is an expert in geomorphological designs using the GeoFluv methodology, and has published in renowned international journals such as Engineering Geology and Journal of Cleaner Production.

Rocío Sánchez

Rocío Sánchez, CMO of STONE161, leads communication and digital marketing, developing creative strategies to enhance the company’s online presence and increase engagement across various digital platforms.

Our partners

At STONE161, we offer comprehensive and high-quality services, through collaborations with leading professionals and companies in the sector.

We have technical support from mining and civil engineering firms such as DDM and ADESTI, as well as from DRS, specializing in modeling, simulation, and artificial intelligence for civil engineering, urban planning, and mobility projects.

We collaborate with VAST Landscape Architecture Studio, leaders in landscape design and planning.

For aerial photogrammetry, we partner with DGDRONE, which has extensive experience in drone-based imaging for mining and civil engineering projects.

Additionally, among our collaborators is Iñaki Mola, a leader in ecological restoration and conservation biology, and the primary author of the ‘Practical Guide to Ecological Restoration’ by the Biodiversity Foundation. With a PhD in Ecology, he specializes in the restoration of areas affected by large-scale earth movements (Civil Engineering).
